Stroke Association (The)
Membership Number: AJC317 / Registered Charity Number: 221
Our vision is for there to be fewer strokes, and for people affected by stroke to get the help they need to live the best life they can.
Our core purpose is to be the trusted voice of stroke survivors and their families. We want to drive better outcomes in stroke prevention, treatment and lifelong support for everyone affected by stroke.
In Jersey our Stroke Recovery Service works closely with the island's Stroke and Speech and Language Therapy teams, providing a comprehensive long-term support service for stroke survivors, their families and carers. There is also a Supported Conversation group specifically designed to support people with communication disabilities caused by their stroke.
We have lots of helpful support material on our website www.stroke.co.uk, including links to health information and home-based exercises for stroke survivors.
We also have a national Helpline, which can be used by residents of Jersey who need help and support – the number is 0303 3033 100.
