Music in Action's motto is to 'Inspire, Create, Educate'. The charity works to develop a fun and accessible cultural programme of the highest calibre, including outreach with educational music programmes designed to encourage and inspire children and young adults. They also work to raise money for other charities through concerts, providing opportunities for talented Jersey musicians to play with major stars.

Music in Action has adapted quickly during the Covid-19 outbreak, but are in need of donations in order to continue their important community outreach initiatives. The unprecedented cancellation of the upcoming live events Liberation Festival on 9th May, and Jersey Sings! in June has had a significant impact on yearly event ticket revenue. Your donation can help protect Music in Action's future as a Jersey charity.

Since lockdown began, the charity has implemented a series of virtual outreach programmes in order to continue their work to 'lift spirits' and provide live music to those who have little access to it.  Working with local Jersey musicians, MiA is facilitating inspirational online music therapy sessions to the most vulnerable in society, including the elderly who are isolated in care homes. They are also working to produce a virtual version of Jersey Sings!, which will provide children all over the Island with the opportunity to keep up with their musical education from home. Finally, with the 75th anniversary of Liberation on 9th May, Music in Action is planning a celebratory virtual concert which will bring joy to Islanders in lockdown.
